One of the very noticeable elements of life in Bangkok is the obsession in cosmetics with skin colour. I obviously spend a lot of time around these counters picking up beauty tips! Whilst at home the obsession for many, both male and female, is with fake tans and other ways of producing a bronzed look, here it is with having a whiter skin colour. Even the sun creams have a built in whitener. Snail White seems to be one of the most significant new products although as you can see from the photos it is largely the same companies that sell the bronzing products to one market that sell a whitener to a different market. It’s a crazy world!
